  • A bit more constrained, the 2002 is beginning to show the floral, black fruit nose of the '01. Deep garnet color, big chewy mouth feel with a soft, juicy silky texture, ripe black fruit flavors and a potpourri of aromas from tea leaves, sweet clove, orange peel, mint, cocoa and leather. The long sweet finish will leave you longing for another sip.

  • The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon shows beautiful depth of color, and aromas of ripe, dark fruit with a touch of sweet vanilla. The wine offers deeper flavors of blueberry on the palate and echoes the lush fruit and vanilla bean essence brought forth by the nuances of French oak aging. This is a well-structured Cabernet with tannins that are soft and supple. This wine would perfectly complement a grilled rib-eye smothered with blue cheese or an herb-roasted rack of lamb.

  • I am delighted with the lovely 2004 Kronos Vineyard Cabernet. The season started with a very early spring and finished with a slow and steady ripening period with nary a day over 100?F. We picked very early, enjoying perfect weather. Extremely low yields resulted in exceptional concentration. A perfume of violets, dried rose petals and star anise in the aromas complements lush blackberry, dusty plum and black cherry flavors. Nutmeg, mineral, cedar and dark chocolate notes chime in. Delicious.
